We went into Yakima one Sunday for our Stake Conference and after the conference Brad surprised Brayden and I by taking us to a nearby park. I always love going there to feed the ducks and Bradley had planned ahead and brought bread. We tried to teach Brayden to feed the ducks, but he just didn't understand why we were giving perfectly good bread to the ducks, so he started eating it up himself instead of giving it away! It was hilarious to watch.
Whenever I go to work I never know what I am going to come home to. Brad loves to give Brayden new hair styles to surprise me with. Funny enough we don't let him go out in public like this. Brayden sure loves his Daddy and they have tons of fun together. Brayden always has a big smile and hug for Daddy when he gets home, and Brad loves every second of it!

Brayden sure loves his cousins and they always return the love! They give him all the attention when he is around and he enjoys it. While we were in Spokane for Beckoms baby blessing Rylee and Brooklyn gave Brayden his first driving lesson and he enjoyed the ride!

We went to Spokane for baby Beckom's blessing and after church decided to go out and take advantage of the gorgeous view from Mike and Kristi's back yard. Lucky for us Brayden was in the picture taking mood!
Brayden Boy loves his bath and shower time! All we have to say is "Brayden do you want to take a bath?", and he goes running to the bathroom door and tries to strip down and starts pounding on the door. It is the cutest thing!
Right around the time Brayden turned one we decided to take some 1 year old pictures. He was not in the best mood when we took him out in the back yard to do them, but we still got some good ones. Every time Brad and I look at him we feel so blessed to be his parents. Parenthood is such a blessing and a miracle and as hard as it can be at times we wouldn't change a second of it.

For the Super Bowl we went to Spokane to visit Kristi, Mike, Kim, Rylee, Brooklyn and new baby Beckom. (what a cutie!) It was a blast, even though the Seahawks weren't in the Super Bowl. Kristi also did a little birthday party for Brooklyn and Brayden since their birthdays are only 7 days apart. Brayden sure loved the chocolate cake and had it everywhere.
For Brayden's birthday we went to Grandma and Grandpa Huls's house to celebrate. It was fun everyone was able to be there even Teah and Dustin and Derek and Jasmine. Brayden normally puts everything in his mouth, but for some reason when he got his birthday cake in front of him he just wanted to smear it on his chest. Finally, after awhile of finger painting with his cake he discovered it tasted really good so there was no stopping him then. It was so fun to see him get so excited and enjoy his birthday. I can't believe he is one already and Brad is already ready for another!
About a week before Brayden's 1st Birthday he decided it was time to start walking. We had been working with him for months and he loved walking as long as he was holding on to something. It was funny because it was like he just woke up one day and decided he wanted to start walking and then we couldn't stop him! (maybe we shouldn't have encouraged him so much)

On December 15th we finally got our first snow fall so we had to take Brayden right out to see it. He loved it and of course immediately had to put it in his mouth. He was so excited about it and was really not happy when we took him back inside! Brayden always makes everything more exciting and more fun to experience. It is neat to see things through his eyes and to see his reactions to 1st time experiences.

Lime Time!

When we were over at Grandma and Grandpa Huls's house for Thanksgiving Uncle Chase decided it would be funny to give Brayden a lime to suck on and see the reaction. He was a little unsure at first, but he ended up really liking it. (not the reaction we were expecting ) Also, Grandpa left some of his candy out in baby reach and when we found Brayden he was chowing down on a mouth full of candy orange slices (it was pretty cute). It was nice to see all the family and nice not to be the only married couple in the family, other than Mom and Dad of course!
Well, summer of last year...(I know I am so behind) we went to Moses Lake to go boating with Jen, Darin, Bridger, Teagin and Gauge. It was Brayden's first experience on a boat and he was lovin it. Brad was also rockin it on the wake board! It was really nice to see Jen and Darin and the boys, and we had lots of fun!
This was like a year ago, but I had to add this in. We went camping with Grandma and Grandpa Huls and the Naches Ward last summer. I know camping with a baby is chancing it, but Brayden did really well. It was lots of fun, and Brayden loved it all. We went canoeing, fishing, hiking and more. It was nice to get out in the fresh air. He is just so stinkin cute! I know most parents probably think that about their own kids, but sometimes I just can't believe how freakin adorable he is and getting cuter every day it seems. We had to take a picture of Grandpa, Brayden and the Tapatio bottle. Both Brad and Grandpa love Tapatio and they are hoping that gets passed on!

For Brayden's first Christmas we did a little Christmas party with Grandma and Grandpa Huls and Cody and Chase a week before Christmas. It was lots of fun and Grandma Huls gave Brayden a Radio Flyer Retro Rocket which he loves to play with. For Christmas we went to Boise to party with Grandma and Grandpa Thacker. It was tons of fun! The only downside was that Brayden Boy was teething, so Christmas Eve he wasn't feeling too good and he was running a fever.(poor little guy) On Christmas day Brayden was definitely the last child in the house up! He woke up a little after 10:00! When he finally saw what Santa brought he was really excited! It was a wonderful Christmas and it was great to see so much of the family.

Uncle Chase is HOME!!

Well, I know it has been forever since I have posted anything and I know I need to do better. This was a very exciting day for the Huls Family. Elder Huls aka Chasie flew into the Yakima airport from his mission in San Jose, California in September of last year. We were all so excited to see him, and Brayden was excited to meet his uncle. There were a lot of emotions, hugs, and tears but the good kinds. We have enjoyed having him around and hanging out, and are sad to see him leave for school this fall. Life moves on, so as sad as we are to see him go we know it is the best for him and he is excited to have more dating options!

Our Joy!

Forever and Ever
